Djurwa is excited to announce the appointment of our first Victorian employee, Joshua Torney.
Josh brings over four years’ of waste industry experience gained while working as a Sales Executive for Djurwa joint venture partner BINGO Industries. The transition from BINGO to Djurwa was a natural progression for proud Aboriginal man Josh, who has been instrumental in promoting Djurwa to Victorian customers since its establishment in 2021.
“I feel honored to be appointed as Djurwa’s first Victorian employee. This is a very meaningful step in my career, being able to work for an Indigenous company that achieves tangible results is something that is very important to me.” Josh said.
Josh’s mentor, Jarrod Bunting from BINGO Industries played an integral part in the establishment of Djurwa in Victoria and continues to guide Josh and the Djurwa team in day to day operations. He said of Josh’s appointment:
